friends, family, everyone...they could never understand why I'm this way...why I'll never change. Some of us are just born strange. But these thoughts they keep me up at night. Cause my head to hurt and teeth to grind. Make my heart beat in double time. Oh my heart it beats in double time.

They say the pressure turns coal to diamonds. Well it's been mounting, and all I feel is heat. I hope it's entertaining for passers by. Will eat their children when they're older. Joy relents, and reality demands. I'm setting a standard, you're a flaw in the stone. You set me aside and I love being alone.

I watched a mother beg to die; crying child gripping her tight. Why can't I feel anything? Nails and barbs have torn the skin to shreds and warm red blood helps wash down the flesh. Here I stand: white knuckles, red hands. Why can't I feel anything?
